To organize your feasts Fresh Dishes to be taken, delicacies, chocolates...

L'Avant-Goût Côté Cellier

This small shop was born while the kitchen of the Avant Goût was expanding the restaurant’s wine cellar. A new premise was necessary to stock the wines of the restaurants. Indeed, when this real estate jewel, just in front of the restaurant, stopped its activity, we seized the opportunity. The wines for the restaurant are kept in a controlled cellar with in the basement and a fine food shop was born on the ground floor.

Feed the nomads

Christophe Beaufront and his wife had discovered a new position, and wine specialist came to join the Avant Goût team. The cellar offers a wide choice of wines which were already available at the restaurant for several years plus a number of new found gems.
On a more pragmatic note, Christophe Beaufront realised a way he could better respond to the evolution of consumption demand off premise ; at home, at the office or in a “nomad” way for the avid picnicer.

A range of products awarded

La carte de la boutique

At the store, you will find a range of fresh products to take away; packed sous-vide or prepared to order. From the fresh soup ready to be consumed, to desserts that well be saved for an after dinner treat. Clients have their choice from jaunty starters to simple or elaborate main courses.

In 2001, everything was on the up and up, the Chef was awarded “Meilleur Plat en Cocotte” (…) by Le Creuzet and also in the Guide Lebey for its “Pot au feu de cochon aux épices” and its bouillon glass. In 2002, this speciality also granted CB “Fooding award for the best take away”. As a result of the prestigious awards and accolades, the Chef and his delirious imagination created a range of “ready to eat” meals under the brand “Take Away”.

Pascal Gesret welcomes you

After being a client of the Avant Goût, he is now on his fourth year as part of the team. He will be delighted to tell you about the Take Away meals. He will also enchant you with our selection of spices from the Maison Thiercellin, specialty oils, the exceptional Vinaigre de Banyuls from Nathalie & Adrien Herre, chocolate from Valrhona, Speculoos (Belgian pastries) directly coming from the Maison Dandoy in Brussels, home-made jams and many other condiments to spice up your home meals.

Our supplier, Biofournil, produces breads that can be kept at ambient temperature and oven baked ten minutes before its consumption. This organic bread is sold by packs of two in a hermetic bag that can be kept for several months. This way, we can guarantee you fresh and crispy bread, any time

When it comes to liquids, Pascal is more than happy to share his knowledge and advice :

For the amateurs of non-alcoholic beverages, we have an offering of specialty mineral waters and fruit juices. These juices include a selection of organic grape juices that are made from grape varieties used in wine making.

For connoisseurs of alcoholic beverages, we offer home made beers full of character, a dairy cider, bag-in-box red wines, and a whole range of wines that begin at only 3,50 euros. The list is comprehensive and you will find all the wine references that are available on the restaurant wine list .

Finally, concerning spirits, Pascal will present you his selection of quality choices from fortified wine to whiskeys. Also available are a range of white alcohols, most notably spirits made by Mr.Etter in Switzerland.

You are invited to taste !

Every month, Pascal and the Chef share with great pleasure their new findings. For those who do not have the occasion to taste in the restaurant, they give you the opportunity to enjoy an informal tasting at the shop.

Most Saturdays, Pascal welcomes a wine producer into his shop. During the day, they conduct tastings of their wines and offer their passion and knowledge both through presentations and one on one chit chat.
